just discovered additional information on the long-awaited Fats biography (© HarperCollins Publishers):

Coleman, Rick
BLUE MONDAY

Music critic and historian Rick Coleman presents the first-ever biography of American music icon Fats Domino. Rock & Roll helped define the last half of the 20th century as a driving force behind racial integration, the sexual revolution, free expression, and the empowerment of the disenfranchised. After 15 years of tracking the roots of rock, Coleman's journey led him to one man in particular, Antoine "Fats" Domino, a reclusive legend who is alive and well today and whom he considers to be the real granddaddy of rock n' roll. BLUE MONDAY captures the story of a man who would have been content to play only for close family and friends, but instead ended up changing the world through his music and influencing the greatest names in rock today, from Elvis Presley and John Lennon to Mick Jagger and Bob Marley. Through extensive interviews with many early rhythm & blues and rock n’ roll legends (among them Lloyd Price, the Clovers, Charles Brown, and all of the members of Buddy Holly’s group, the Crickets) and, most importantly, exclusive interviews with Fats Domino himself over the course of 15 years, Coleman reconstructs the fascinating music scene of the 1940s and 1950s, at the center of which was a musician who, by revolutionizing popular music, helped integrate America.
